Originating from a family of doctors and chemists, Mikiko Hayano graduated from the school of pharmacy at the Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences before learning the theory and practice of Eastern medicine in a research facility. Later moving to London to focus on beauty and health studies, while training as a therapist, Hayano was also active as a public speaker and attained more than a dozen top-level British nationally recognised qualifications. Back in Japan, 2003 saw the opening of her salon ABSOLU HERBEEN, offering inner and outer beauty treatment incorporating elements of Chinese medicine, cosmetics, and complementary treatment. Her formula, centred around advice and massage, features a balance between Eastern and Western methods, and facilitates individually tailored, medically founded health and beauty treatments. Hayano now has a strong following of clients, male and female, young and old alike.

Also an expert in spas, Hayano is a highly regarded spa journalist both domestically and internationally. While managing her own salon, she continues to explore and communicate her knowledge in the varied fields of beauty, health, Chinese herbal remedies, health food and spas, writing for and featuring in numerous women’s and fashion magazines and websites. Hayano is passionate about continuing to evolve health and beauty methods adaptable to individual needs, based on her unique, groundbreaking conglomerate knowledge of medicine and pharmacy combined with methods from both East and West.

1997-2000	Furthers Chinese Medicine knowledge under Honorary Kitasato Institute Chief Otsuka.
2000-2002	Attains British nationally recognised health and beauty qualification at London College of Fashion
2002-2003	Attains IFPA recognised aromatherapy qualification at International Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy
