The world’s first made-to-order tiara designer,
Taro Kamitani is loved by glamorous ladies around the world for “designing women’s dreams” with his imaginative, one-of-a-kind tiaras and stories that accompany them.
In 2007, Kamitani became the youngest designer ever to receive the New York ADC prize, known as the Academy Award of the design world.
His work can be seen on permanent display on the top floor of Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills. Ordered for weddings,
anniversaries, events, advertisements and more, each of Kamitani’s iconic tiaras captures the romantic spirit of its subject, and communicates this message with unique style. Kamitani’s blog about his feelings towards his family took out a 1st prize for its genre, and he is the focus of much attention as a loving husband and daddy blogger.

2007	After experience in advertising agencies and design companies etc, establishes independent business as Art Director
2008	Designs his first tiara for his wife for their wedding. Through wedding guests and word-of-mouth rumours spread and orders begin arriving Establishes Miss Tiara Royal Order Made, with salon-ateliers in Tokyo’s Hiro and Shirokane Featured in numerous wedding magazines including Elle Marriage & 25 Ans Wedding 6 page feature on “Creative People’s Formula for Success” in magazine Theory Business Creates tiara for and appears in AU mobile phone commercials
2009	Begins selling original tiaras in Osaka’s Umeda Hankyu department store Selected as Japan national team member for Premier Plan by Oz Mall and Hotel Seiyo Ginza Designs original tiara for alcoholic beverage Zima’s advertising campaign Participating artist in Rakuten New Year card campaign (achieving Guinness record for downloads)
2010	Appears on Asahi TV’s BeauTV (with MC Risa Hirako) Begins regular column “Tiara de Branding by Tiara Designer Taro Kamitani” in new magazine Hoteres Wedding (published from April by Ota Publications)
